We are required by Little League and Babe Ruth to conduct background checks on all volunteers. We ask your help in ensuring that no one is allowed to participate in any capacity for league activities if they are not on this list. Head coaches/managers are required to check this list for the other coaches and assistants.
Needham Baseball and Softball will provides a complete list of volunteers who have been approved to coach or volunteer for the current season, go to to the Coaching tab.
Please contact our Safety Director or League President if you observe anyone participating who is not approved.
While fields are shared, in general, each level has their designated fields. Kindergarten and 1st grade: Pollard, Mitchell and Newman playground plateau Little League Single A: Dwight Field and Broadmeadow Lower. Little League Double A: Greene’s Field, High Rock Field, Newman 1 and Eliot Field. Little League Triple A: Newman 2 and Newman 3 (Cusick Field), Broadmeadow Upper. Little League Majors: Defazio - Small Field, Mills Field, Broadmeadow Upper, Memorial synthetic. Babe Ruth Prep, Senior League & 16-18 League: Defazio – Warner, Walker-Gordon Field, Defazio – McLeod and Memorial.
PARKING AND FIELD NOTES
No parking or driving on any field.
Parking lots should be used where available.
Be courteous to neighbors at parks without parking areas. No one should park on neighbor’s lawns or block driveway access.
Directions, including proper parking, must be provided to visiting teams.
All parking laws must be followed.
Insure there is emergency access to all parks and on all neighborhood roads.
Alcohol and drugs not permitted at any park.
Last year, Park and Recreation, the Town’s Traffic Management Committee and/or Police Department received at least one complaint about parking issues or speeding at all of the parks below, except the High School and Mitchell. The most numerous complaints are from neighbors of DeFazio, Newman-Cusick, Cricket, and Broadmeadow.
